PILATES is a non-impact mind and body exercise program. It improves abdominal, lower back and buttocks strength and promotes firm central support (core control).
PILATES can enhance posture, breathing and coordination during work or recreational activities.
PILATES goes beyond the physical realm. This form of conditioning is based on the principle that the body must be actively trained and controlled through the discipline of the mind.
With consistent practice of PILATES you can:
· Tone your muscles and elongate your entire body without bulking.
· Reduce stress while you breathe properly.
· Improve your core control and postural awareness.
People who can benefit from PILATES training:
· Anyone who wants to improve posture, look leaner, reduce tension and be able to cope with the daily physical and mental demands at work or at home.
· Postpartum women who need to recover abdominal/pelvic floor strength and postural alignment/stabilization.
· Women with osteoporosis or women who want to prevent osteoporosis. Pilates offers a great variety of weight bearing exercises to minimize the consequences of this silent disease.
· Physically active individuals (martial art practitioners, runners, swimmers) who wish to improve core control, flexibility and breathing patterns to optimize posture.
· People who drive long hours. Commuters and even racecar drivers often experience lower back and neck/shoulder discomfort after prolonged hours behind the wheel. This may be a sign of poor core control (weak abdominal/back and buttock muscles) and inadequate breathing patterns.
· Tennis and golf players can improve symmetrical coordination with sport specific training, core control and proper breathing patterns.
SESSION PRICES:
FIRST VISIT : $100.00 - The first visit is required for all new clients and includes a postural and muscular assessment to determine your specific needs.
PRIVATE CLASSES: With VIVIANE $90.00 (package of 10 sessions is $800 paid in advance, complimentary bottle of water and a towel are included) with other instructors $80.00 (package of 10 sessions is $700 paid in advance, complimentary bottle of water and a towel are included). The first four sessions are designed to familiarize your muscles with the basics of Pilates. The workouts will be tailored according to the fitness assessment made during your first visit.
10 SESSION PACKAGE: Our package offering now covers 10 sessions for $800 with VIVIANE ($80.00 per session with a $10 discount) or $700 with other instructors ($70 per session with a $10 discount). A complimentary bottle of water and a towel are included for each session. The payment for the packages MUST be made before the services are rendered. At the end of the package the client should buy another one. Each package MUST be used within a 90 day period from the date of purchase.
SEMI-PRIVATE CLASSES (2 individuals): With Viviane $90.00 or $80.00 with other instructors $80.00. (Complimentary bottle of water and a towel are included in sessions) NO PACKAGES AVAILABE FOR SEMI_PRIVATE
MAT CLASSES (GROUP OF 4): $200.00 FOR 8 CLASSES. Paid in advance. (Complimentary towel and $1.00 for the bottle of water).
RELAXATION (Full Body Massage): With VIVIANE: $100, with other massage therapists: $90
PILATES/RELAXATION: 30 MIN OF MAT PILATES AND 30 MIN OF NECK/BACK MASSAGE. With Viviane: $90.00 or with other massage therapists: $80
We are open from 8 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm, by appointment only.
A first visit evaluation is required of all new clients. This includes a postural and muscular assessment to determine your specific needs.
